Heidler’s first job in TV journalism was during a time and place that would prove to be of historical significance for the industry – CNN’s Washington bureau during the first Gulf War. He stayed with CNN until 1994.

Since then, Heidler has reported and produced for FOX NEWS Channel, CNN (on a freelance basis), National Geographic Channel and SKY NEWS UK.

He is currently on assignment in Jerusalem as the Fox News Radio Middle East correspondent. He also reports for Fox News Channel TV.

He moved to Jerusalem from Kabul, Afghanistan where he was Fox News Channel’s Correspondent and Bureau Chief.
